PABLO PICASSO

Pablo Picasso is the most famous artist of the 19th and 20th century. He was born in 1881 in Malaga, Spain.

Picasso was a painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramist and stage designer. He is considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

He started painting with Impressionism style but after his first visit to Paris, he became interested with Cezanne’s paintings and shifted to Synthetic Cubism style. When he started using this new style his works became more recognizable for their geometrical shapes and bright colors.

Eventually he mastered Cubism and created “Guernica”, which is considered one of the world’s most important paintings due to its powerful imagery on war violence against civilians during WWII.

Picasso’s work is estimated to have sold more than 200 million copies worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.
